COVID-19 – Precaution Is The Best Way To Prevent It.

Say YES to precaution and NO to panic!

The world is in danger with the pretty new Coronavirus disease, also called as Novel COVID-19. And, this COVID-19 could be the only thing that you are hearing on the news, internet, and day to day life more frequently.

People from all over the world are in panic with this new disease. Some people say it is a nature’s curse, some say it is a biological weapon, while some say it is just the normal flu.

But, as per the report of WHO, the Coronaviruses (Cov) are a family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). A novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans.

The human body is familiar with some types of CoV. But, there is one virus from which our body is unaware of and finds difficulties to fight from. And, this virus is known as COVID-19.

On Dec 31st, 2019, the first case of the COVID-19 was reported in Wuhan, China. People in China didn’t take it too seriously. And, treated it as the common flu. But, when it started affecting more and more people in Wuhan, the Chinese Government took some serious actions against it.

But, till the time they come to know that it is a serious issue, the COVID-19 had started to target more people all over the world. And, WHO has declared COVID-19 a public health emergency of international concern.

Till March 12, 2020, this virus has affected more than 120 countries of the world.

But, the best part is, China has almost taken control of this virus and prevented many people from it. So, let’s have a look at the precautions that the Chinese Government and people took to fight with COVID-19.

Also, WHO suggested some precautions that can help us to prevent this health emergency. So, let’s get started.

  1. Wash your hand frequently:

Which body part is the one thing that comes in contact with most of the living and non-living beings?

Your hands.

So, what is the best gateway to this virus?

Definitely your hands.

And, to avoid this virus to enter your body, you need to wash your hands more frequently. You can wash and clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer or with normal soap and water.

Also, when you come in contact with any living organisms, make sure that you clean your hand just after making any contact.

  1. Try to make social distance:

It is a virus that can affect a person who comes in contact with the affected people. And, if an affected person sneezes or coughs, some particles of the virus may come out with the small liquid droplets. These liquid droplets may stay in the air for a few seconds.

To avoid this virus entering inside your body, you can maintain a distance of at least 1 meter to the people who have a cough and cold.

  1. Avoid public gathering:

As per now the common symptom of this virus is the same as the common flu. And, in a public gathering, you don’t know who is affected by COVID-19 and who is not.

For the safe side, you should avoid going to public places where a large number of people gather.

  1. Wear a mask at public places:

The mask is the one that can protect from COV and stop it entering inside your body. You need to wear a mask when you go to public places, especially at airports and railway stations.

  1. Try to avoid any international trip:

Right now, the government of many Nations have started to screen people who come from abroad. And, in some countries, you need to show a COVID-19 Negative Certificate to board on the flight.

A lot of national governments have suggested their people not to travel internationally until it is most important.

  1. Avoid touching your nose, eyes, and face so often:

People are touching their nose, eyes, and face frequently with their hands. But, your hands are one of those things that can transfer the virus inside your body.

And, if you touch your face more often, your hand may transfer the virus to your eyes, nose, and mouth. And, it can enter inside your body.

  1. Avoid handshake:

Avoid handshake.

Yes, you heard it right.

I know how awkward, rude, and weird it is. But, not just people, celebrities, politicians, and even the kings and queens of different countries have started to avoid handshaking.

Right now, people are adopting the Indian “Namaskar” 🙏 and Asian culture to greet people instead of handshaking.

The end note…

Studies till the date suggests that coronavirus COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through small droplets from the nose or mouth and spread from person to person.

Research still needs to be done on how it develops and spreads. But, we don’t have to panic. Not everyone who has a cough and cold has coronavirus. We need to be aware and prevent this virus from spreading.

Don’t panic and make sure that precaution is the first step towards prevention. Keep calm and stay safe.
